Types of Bets in Live Craps
In live craps, there are a variety of bets that players can make. The most common types of bets include Pass Line, Don't Pass Line, Come, Don't Come, Field, Big 6/8, Place, and Hardways. Each type of bet offers different payouts depending on the outcome of the game.
The Pass Line bet is the most common bet in live craps. It pays even money if the shooter rolls a 7 or 11, and the bet is lost if the shooter rolls a 2, 3, or 12. The Don't Pass Line bet is the opposite of the Pass Line bet, and it pays even money if the shooter rolls a 2 or 3, and it is lost if the shooter rolls a 7 or 11.
The Come and Don't Come bets are similar to the Pass Line and Don't Pass Line bets, respectively. However, the Come and Don't Come bets are placed after the dice have been rolled. The Field bet pays even money if the shooter rolls a 5, 6, 7, or 8, and it is lost if the shooter rolls a 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, or 12.
The Big 6/8 bet pays even money if the shooter rolls a 6 or 8 before a 7, and it is lost if the shooter rolls a 7 before a 6 or 8. The Place bet pays even money if the shooter rolls the number that is bet on before a 7, and it is lost if the shooter rolls a 7 before the number that is bet on. Lastly, the Hardways bet pays even money if the shooter rolls a 4, 6, 8, or 10 with the same number on both dice, and it is lost if the shooter rolls any other combination.
